Held up in behind leaders - 6th at halfway - briefly lost position 4 out - good headway from 2 out - kept on strongly into 3rd run-in - nearest finish (enquiry into the running and riding of the mare - jockey stated that his instructions were to drop his mount in and get her to settle - as she can be keen and consequently was wearing a hood today. He stated that in hind sight he would have done things differently and ridden his mount closer to the pace as he felt that the race had gotten away from him down the back and his mount then stayed on strongly.
