Midfield - lost ground before 3 out - kept on well from 2 out (jockey said - regarding running and riding that his instructions were to jump off with the leaders and to do his best from there. He stated that he was happy with his position and felt he was close enough if good enough but that his mount had then choked at the end of the back straight and continued to make a noise all the way up the home straight. Furthermore he added that he was surprised at how well his mount had finished considering the noise that it was making. Trainer's rep - confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride.
