Newbury 6f Jason Watson Roger Charlton 6 1:18.45 8.5 9-2 6/1
Slowly into stride - ran green and in rear throughout (an enquiry was held into the running and riding of the colt - which broke greenly from the stalls and bronked for a number of strides. The jockey stated that his instructions were to track the favourite - which he was drawn next to - and ride his race from there. He added that the colt had become 8 to 10 lengths detached from the field after his antics at the start of the race - at which point he allowed the colt to run through his hands but felt there was little response - so he felt it prudent to allow the colt to finish in his own time on his first run on ground which he felt would be testing for the colt)(op 11/2)
