Midfield - headway from 4 out - pushed along when still plenty to do 3 out - kept on but made no impression (at the request of the raceday stewards - jockey said gelding was a big novicey individual having his second run; he added that he was instructed to drop out his mount and to do his best thereafter; he went about an effort half way down back straight and mount galloped on one paced - passing tired horses in the latter part of the race; in his opinion mount had no problem racing on the soft ground conditions and was suited by the distance of the race - which was noted)(op 125/1)
