Held up in rear - hung left but headway from 3 out - went fourth run-in - stayed on (jockey said gelding hung left-handed)(tchd 11/2 and tchd 13/2)

Took keen hold - held up in rear - headway after 4th - briefly went second 3 out - weakened run-in (an inquiry held into the running and riding; jockey stated his instructions were to drop the gelding in last to try to get him to settle having failed to do so in his other starts to date which had resulted in him failing to see out the trip; he added gelding had again raced freely in the back straight and had towed him to the front of the field so that he was upsides the leader turning into the home straight; he further added gelding continued to jump well - he was beginning to tire after his earlier exertions - so he felt the best policy was to hold the gelding together as he had no more to give - maintaining that he had achieved his best possible placing; trainer confirmed these instructions and that she was satisfied with the ride)(op 16/1)
