Fairyhouse (IRE) Races

Held up in rear of mid-division - headway 2 out to chase leaders - soon ridden and no impression on winner in 4th before last - kept on same pace run-in(op 25/1)

Chased leaders - 5th halfway - almost on terms into straight - soon ridden disputing close 2nd and weakened 2 out(op 11/2 tchd 5/1)

In rear - jumped slightly left 2nd - moderate 10th after 2 out - some late headway in behind from before last - kept on - never troubled leaders - slightly lame post race (jockey said regarding running and riding that his instructions were to drop his mount in - get him to settle as he can be free and get him to run as well as he can. He felt that the leaders had gone too fast up front. Turning for home he pulled his mount out wide and he then got pushed further out but that he jumped the last two flights well and had stayed on past exhausted horses. Trainer - stated that his charge can run free - wore earplugs today and had not run since April. He confirmed that the instructions he gave the rider were to jump off last and get him to settle. He stated that the jockey had ridden to instructions however he was not satisfied with how his charge was ridden in the closing stages of the race as he could clearly have put his mount in the race more.)(op 8/1)

Close up until led after 1st - narrow advantage at halfway - joined 4 out and headed next where pecked slightly - ridden behind leaders and no extra after 3 out - weakened before next(op 9/1)

Held up in rear of mid-division - not fluent 2nd - driven in 9th and no impression 2 out(op 50/1)

Prominent until soon settled behind leaders - 4th halfway - slight mistake 4 out and pushed along - driven and no extra after 3 out - weakened before next(op 9/1 tchd 13/2)

Mid-division - took closer order after halfway - close 4th after 4 out - went close 3rd after 3 out - slightly impeded 2 out where not fluent and soon no extra under pressure and weakened(op 16/1 tchd 25/1)

Mid-division best - reminders after 3rd - jumped slightly left towards rear 4 out - soon pushed along and no extra - weakened

Towards rear - ridden and weakened before 2 out - slow and went left at last(op 80/1 tchd 100/1)

Prominent until soon settled behind leaders after 1st where not fluent - 3rd halfway - 5th after 3 out - soon pushed along and no extra - weakened before 2 out and eased - lame (vet reported the animal to be lame post race; jockey said that his mount took a false step at the back of the third last flight and he thought that it may have been struck into)(op 4/1)
