The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race. Jockey explained that the colt was slow into stride from the stalls - facts which he reported at scales following the race - ran greenly with an awkward head carriage and tended to hang right-handed in the early stages. Jockey further added that he was mindful that this was the colt's first run following wind surgery and was therefore keen to ensure he got home in his race)
