Towards rear - steady headway after 4 out - stayed on (jockey said - regarding running and riding - gelding wears a hood and a ring- bit as he is a difficult type that can be hard to settle and further stated gelding was difficult on the way to the start; he said his instructions were to get settle - get him to jump and to do the best he could; when questioned about his riding in the closing stages - he stated the gelding favours the right side of the bit and although he may appear to be hanging - he is satisfied that this is not the case; trainer confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride - he further added gelding is very difficult which is why he led him around the parade ring himself; he concluded by stating gelding can jump a little left on occasion; vet said gelding was found to be lame post race)(op 22/1 tchd 16/1)
